Xiaomi is a manufacturer whose market it enters, a market in which it is betting heavily. A few months ago they reached the television market in Spain, with several low-cost proposals. However, in China they are one of the largest television manufacturers in the country. In fact, just over a month ago they presented the Xiaomi Mi TV Lux, an OLED TV with a really competitive price. Well, now they have gone a step further and to celebrate their anniversary they have presented the Xiaomi Mi TV Lux Transparent Edition, a spectacular 55-inch transparent OLED panel.
At the moment the manufacturer has not revealed the final launch date. But the price of its new transparent OLED TV does, which makes us think that it will go on sale shortly. Of course, we have no evidence that he will leave his country of origin. Even so, some of the features of the Xiaomi Mi TV Lux Transparent Edition are worth taking a look at that the manufacturer has revealed.
A very unconventional design
The truth is that Xiaomi has not yet given too much data about its new TV. However, we have been able to see some photos that reveal their design.
As we can see, the Chinese manufacturer has used a kind of large circular base to place all the electronics that requires a television. From this platform, placed in the lower central part, the transparent OLED panel “emerges”, which is as if suspended in the air.
A lower mark can also be seen in the images that, we suppose, will serve to give stability to the whole. And some lateral edges that, being very narrow, can be seen.
The manufacturer has confirmed that the panel has a 5.7 millimeter thickness and the screen shows a diagonal of 55 inch. It is able to reproduce the 93% of the DCI-P3 color space, has a 120 Hz refresh rate with MEMC technology and a 1 ms response speed.
In the images it is also clearly appreciated that the television shows what is behind it. At the moment Xiaomi has not revealed its transparency rate, but it seems to be quite high.
And in terms of image quality, Xiaomi has implemented the AI Master technology. It uses an Artificial Intelligence system to improve any type of image. In addition, the television has technology Dolby Atmos.
Price and availability
Xiaomi has yet to confirm a specific release date for its new TV. We also do not know if it will reach Europe and, if so, how long it will take. But the truth is that it looks like it will be a product that will stay in China.
Even more if we take into account its price. The Xiaomi Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition will be launched in China with a price of 50,000 yuan, which in turn come to be about 6,100 euros.
