The first Amazon Virtual-Con is currently taking place as part of the San Diego Comic Con. Amazon is now announcing several major restarts and sequels for all series lovers.

Before the start of the second season, it was confirmed that Amazon “The Boys” will donate another sequel in the future. On September 4th new episodes of the superhero parody will be released on Prime Video. From the end of August, “Prime Rewind: Inside The Boys” will also be an accompanying format that will analyze the events of each episode. Emmy winner Aisha Tyler (“Criminal Minds”, “The Talk”) moderates the show.

At Virtual-Con, Amazon also announced the new Paper Girls series. The show is said to be based on the graphic novel of the same name by Brian K. Vaughan and Cliff Chiang. The shooting should start soon.

First insights into “Utopia”

In addition, Amazon released new trailers and pictures for “Utopia” and “Truth Seekers”, which will start later this year. The thriller series “Utopia” is a remake of the Channel 4 production of the same name. The eight episodes are supposed to be about a group of comic nerds who are obsessed with a mysterious comic and have to save the world. The format is produced by, among others, “Gone Girl” author Gillian Flynn.

Truth Seeker, on the other hand, is a horror comedy about a group of investigators that fights paranormal phenomena. The ghost hunters then publish their adventures on the Internet. The main roles will include Nick Frost and Simon Pegg.

All contents of Amazon Virutal-Con are currently available online free of charge – even without Prime membership.
