App-based streaming of films and series is actually old hat – at least on mobile devices. Until now, users of stationary computers usually had to use the browser to access the offers. This is changing now for prime users.

An Amazon Prime Video App can now be installed on PCs with the Windows 10 operating system – just as you are used to from a Smart TV, streaming box or smartphone and tablet. For some interested users, the search for the Prime app in the Microsoft Store still seems to be ineffective, but the application should be easy to download under the following link. Apparently, there is still no equivalent for Apple computers.

Amazon Prime Video is the second most successful streaming provider in Germany after Netflix and offers a large portfolio of series and films. These include in-house productions such as the international hit show “Vikings”, but also numerous changing license content. In addition, additional content can be obtained at a fixed price via various channels that can be terminated monthly, and more recent films can be digitally purchased and rented shortly after they have been shown in the cinema – many of them also in UHD.

Prime Video is part of the Amazon Prime membership and can therefore be used by Prime customers at no additional charge.

Today 2nd July is almost the end of Amazon’s participation in the German Bundesliga-Show the relegation game between Werder Bremen and Heidenheim on Prime Video.
