The Apple TV app for new models of LG smart TVs adds support for Dolby Atmos sound, after several of its rivals have already been active for a while. Sound quality must always be linked to image quality and with 4K televisions currently on the market it is almost mandatory to have high quality sound and with the Apple TV application this sound reaches LG models.

Last February -at the end of this- LG itself already warned that its Compatible TVs would add object-based audio, Dolby Atmos for AirPlay 2 and Apple TV before the end of the year and this news is now for the Apple TV app. Smart TVs compatible with this function from the South Korean firm receive the update with which they are allowed to enjoy this improvement in audio quality.

The TV application also allows users to access the iTunes Store and buy or rent movies with Atmos sound, without a doubt an improvement in sound that thousands of users will appreciate. It seems that the new features in the Apple TV application continue to count drops and its content continues to increase as its performance and quality increase. The best thing is that right now all users who have a sound bar or a compatible television can enjoy Dolby Atmos surround sound audio.
