In the past few days, Ubisoft has struggled to get leaked footage of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla from the Internet. We originally saw a 30-minute video with leaked footage from the game, but it was pretty blurry. This has now been remedied, but leaks have come back with all their might. A shorter gameplay video was recently released. This time it’s a 7 minute video with a little sharper footage showing us a boss fight.
What does the leaked footage show us?
The video puts us in a boss fight in the middle of a rainy storm, in which mood lighting and weather effects dominate the scene. We see the use of thunder and lightning that you would expect from anything related to Vikings.
In the footage we see the female protagonist Eivor competing against a boss named Cordelia. We don’t know much about the context of this fight, but it looks like a side activity in the region. So we cannot imagine that there is a huge spoiler in the game, but we have to wait and see where this scene fits. We also get a glimpse of the menus, skill tree, inventory, and extensive map of East Anglia.
You can see the leaked footage in the video below (provided it is not retrieved from Ubisoft).
What do we know about Assassins Creed Valhalla’s gameplay?
If you’re not yet informed of all the news and gameplay details about Assassins Creed Valhalla, here’s a quick rundown of what to expect.
Do epic raids
According to the Ubisoft store page, a large part of Valhalla will consist of launching attacks against Saxon troops and guarded fortresses across England. You can lead your clan into battle and launch surprise attacks on enemy areas. Along the way, you have the opportunity to use all the riches and resources that you can.
It wouldn’t be an Assassin’s Creed game without a lot of struggle – especially a game with the Vikings. You play as a ruthless Viking warrior and wield a combination of swords and axes with two weapons against your enemies.
Players can choose which tactic to use in combat. Puzzle them from afar with a series of arrows, dismember them in close combat or use the surprise element to kill enemies with a hidden blade.
Write your Viking saga
Assassin’s Creed’s advanced RPG mechanics let you make your own saga. Grow as a warrior and leader, influence the world and build your skills on your own style of play.
Make your way through England with a series of bloody battles behind you, or form strategic alliances, and carry on with your cunning and wits.

Valhalla is the latest edition in the Assassin’s Creed series and will be available this Christmas for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X. We don’t have an exact date yet, but it looks like it will be one of the flagship titles associated with the all-new console launches. We will keep you up to date as soon as we find out the start dates of these.
