The Honor 9A is a smartphone included within the well-established entry of the Chinese mobile phone manufacturer that, by price and characteristics, is included in the lower part of its catalog. Even so, this smartphone stands out for its 13 MP + 5 MP + 2 MP triple rear camera and its generous 5000 mAh battery.
The Honor 9A has a 6.3 ″ LCD screen that offers an HD + resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels. It works with a MediaTek Helio P35 processor that is accompanied by 3 GB of RAM. If the 64GB internal storage is not enough, you can expand it further through a microSD card of up to 512GB.

Honor’s phone has a display with a 6.3-inch In-Cell panel with a drop of water notch. The screen resolution of this device is 1600 x 720 pixels and it has a density of 278 ppip. It also supports 16 million colors and is a 10-point multi-touch capacitive screen.
This panel has a 20: 9 ratio with a body-to-screen ratio of 88.4%. In addition, the Honor 9A incorporates a blue light filter to filter harmful light and optimize the comfort of your view when using the phone in low light.
The processor that has the cheap phone of the Chinese brand is a SoC from the manufacturer MediaTek. In this case, it is the MT6765 Helio P35 model with 4 Cortex-A53 cores at 2.3 GHz and 4 Cortex-A53 at 1.8 GHz. This CPU supports the 64-bit architecture and operates at a maximum frequency of 2.3 GHz.
As for its GPU, it comes equipped with the IMG GE8320, which is not the best for gaming but does not offer major problems with most of the reloaded apps from the App Gallery.
The new Honor is put on sale with a single configuration of 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. It is a fairly limited space but at least it allows memory expansion by using microSD cards up to 512 GB.
The back of the device has a 13MP main camera, a 5MP ultra wide-angle camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. It has AI tools to improve each shot without having to do more than press the shutter button and among its modes we have the classic professional mode and portrait mode.
For selfies, the small notch on the top houses an 8MP selfie camera that also supports Face Unlock and facial beautification features.
The Honor 9A’s battery is one of the phone’s great strengths. It is a lithium cell with a capacity of 5000 mAh. When it reaches 5% capacity you can add up to 12 more hours of use activating the ultra energy saving mode. Furthermore this cell is capable of charging other wired devices using an OTG cable.
The autonomy promised by the firm is 64 hours on call, 32 hours watching videos, 36 hours of VoIP calls and 37 hours listening to the radio.
Regarding the Wi-Fi connection, the Chinese phone supports standards b, g and n in the 2.4 GHz band. The maximum download speed is 300 Mbps in download and 50 Mbps in upload if we use LTE networks. Regarding Bluetooth, its version is 5.0 and it also has GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, Beidou and Galileo.
It has a headphone jack with which to listen to the FM Radio and a Micro USB 2.0 for charging and data transfer.
It is one of those cheap mobiles aimed at offering good sound. For this the firm mounts 88 db speakers and a Party Mode system that allows multiple speakers to be synchronized on the mobile.
The price of the Honor 9A in Midnight Black or Phantom Blue is 189 euros for the 3 + 64 GB version. There are different promotions on the Net that lower this figure by a few euros.
Without Google apps
Due to the commercial situation between the US and China, the Honor 9A does not have Google Mobile Services pre-installed, it uses the Huawei Mobile Services in which you cannot find the apps of the American giant.
