Pop singer Mike Singer joins the jury of the RTL casting show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. The 20-year-old will be the youngest juror in the “DSDS” story, as the broadcaster announced on Thursday in Cologne.
“Despite my young age, I have already gained a lot of experience in the music industry, social media and in a casting show that I would like to pass on,” said Singer of his commitment.
The Offenburg citizen with Russian roots took part in the television casting show “The Voice Kids” back in 2013. He reached an audience of millions early on, especially through social networks. More than a million people follow him on Instagram. He has now released several albums.
Singer will take one of the vacant positions next to “DSDS” veteran Dieter Bohlen (66). A few days ago it was announced that RTL – apart from its regular juror – will go into the next season with a completely new jury. There are now two more positions to be filled. The “Bild” newspaper reported that pop singer Michael Wendler (48) was about to join. The casting show is scheduled to go into the next round in early 2021.
