Galaxy Z Fold2 5G, real image of the Samsung folding

An image of the Galaxy Z Fold2 5G (supposedly real) is added to the wide collection of leaks of the new devices that Samsung will present on August 5 at the Galaxy Unpacked event.

The picture shows the front of the device in the unfolded position and leaves us some changes over the original. One of them will be the removal of the notch on the front camera in favor of a perforated camera design. In the same way the rear camera will be located.

Another novelty of the camera system is that the external display as viewfinder of the main camera, which means that the user can take pictures without opening the terminal and can also take selfies using the main camera while using the external screen as a viewfinder.

Although there are no confirmed official data, it seems that the flexible screen will be larger in size (about 8 inches diagonal) and it will have a 25: 9 aspect ratio. The chipset upgrade is safe and Samsung will offer the best available, both its own with the Exynos 990, and others with the Snapdragon 865+ from Qualcomm.

The format and general design you know well. It will be the most advanced model of the new generation of folding machines that is coming to the market, as an improvement on an original whose problems of resistance and robustness, few applications and an exorbitant price, limited its impact.

It is expected that the robustness section has been improved on this Galaxy Z Fold2 5G with a reinforced hinge system and a screen protected by an “ultra-thin glass” cover that we saw last week in the new Flip.

Support for 5G is not new since Samsung offers it by default for the high-end. Performance will be guaranteed with the mentioned SoCs and the accompaniment of 12 Gbytes of RAM and between 256 and 512 Gbytes of storage capacity.

A 4,500 mAh battery with fast recharge and a fingerprint reader built into the screen is expected. There is no good news in the price section. Galaxy Z Fold2 5G is a very special smartphone due to its form factor and whoever wants it will have to make a large outlay. There is talk of up to 2,100 euros in Europe … Not suitable for tight budgets.

We will confirm it next Wednesday in the Galaxy Unpacked. Do not miss it.
