goodbye to XL models

This spring Google Pixel 4a presentation expected, Google’s new cheap phone. Although this presentation did not take place due to the coronavirus and it is speculated that the brand would delay the launch of all its phones from this 2020, so they would arrive later in Spain. This year promises to have many changes in this range of phones, as it has already been known.

Google’s app code has revealed new data on the brand’s phones for this year. There was already speculation that the Google Pixel range would leave us with changes this year, but they promise to be remarkable. There would be no XL versions of them And Google would finally make the leap to 5G.

A renewed range of Google Pixel

These months have been able to see two codenames for Google phones: Redfin and Bramble. It was assumed that one was the Google Pixel 5 and the other was the Pixel 5 XL, as usual in the brand. Although it seems that this year the brand eliminates XL models from its range, something that has also been speculated for a long time. Instead they leave us with a surprise.

As the other phone shown would be the Pixel 4a 5G, which would mean the company’s entry into the 5G model segment. Weeks ago it was rumored that there could be two versions of the Pixel 4a, so it would not be unreasonable to think that the firm would finally make the leap to 5G.

This would assume that both the Google Pixel 5 and the Pixel 4a 5G they would use the Snapdragon 765G as a processor, the Qualcomm chip that brings 5G to the mid-range, and that we are seeing so much on the market these months. In addition, it is commented that the two phones would be presented jointly at the end of this year, although there is not yet a specific date.

This would suppose that Google would leave us this year with three phones: Pixel 5, Pixel 4a and Pixel 4a 5G. A new bet for this range of brand phones, which seeks to establish itself in the market in this way, especially after the good sales of mid-range models last year.
