Apple founder Steve Wozniak is turning 70 and we congratulate him on this special day. “The Woz” founded the Apple company together with Steve Jobs. A company that is the most valuable in the world today.
Stephen Gary “Steve” Wozniak was born on August 11, 1950 in Sunnyvale, California and is generally considered to be the brain behind the first Apple computers. The first machines come from his hand, which inspired his later co-founder Steve Jobs to found Apple Computer Inc. together with “The Woz”.
Today Apple is the most valuable company in the world. This is also confirmed by an upcoming share split. Because with this step Apple would like to offer “normal” investors the opportunity to acquire shares. (In addition to purely economic interests, of course.)
But that’s not the point today. Today is the day of honor for one of the most famous computer pioneers in the world. Steve Wozniak wants to celebrate this day in a big way and has therefore set up his own website.
Apple founder Steve Wozniak turns 70
A big live event is announced there, which will take place on August 11th, the 70th birthday. At 5 p.m. PDT (Pacific Daylight Time), i.e. 2 a.m. on August 12th. with us the event takes place on the net. Whoever wants to participate (watch) has to register on the website beforehand.
The list of prominent guests who will probably make an appearance at the event is long. From Andrea Bocelli to David Copperfield, Nancy Palosi and Olivia Newton John to William Shatner there are numerous well-known personalities.
The whole event is not a self-adulation of an admittedly brilliant man, but primarily serves to support the “Jewel’s Inspiring Children Foundation”. The organization takes care of vulnerable children and young people to enable them to find a way into a normal life.
In one of our Apple Talk LIVE! Broadcasts a Lego figure from Famous Brick is raffled off. The “The Woz” is supposed to recreate. Associated with an autograph.
Apple talk had the opportunity to speak to Steve Wozniak a few years ago. We published the interview on Youtube.
