Over half of the UHD televisions in Germany will be equipped with HD Plus in the future. Vestel devices will soon be able to test the HD Plus transmitter package and the new HD Plus convenience function for free for six months.
From September, selected UHD TVs with built-in HD + service will be available under the following brands: Toshiba, Telefunken, JVC, Hitachi, Techwood, ok., Kendo, Hanseatic, Dual. Vestel is one of the leading manufacturers of brown goods in Europe and is already the third largest manufacturer after Samsung and Panasonic to deliver its UHD devices “ex works” with HD Plus – external devices such as receivers are no longer necessary for reception.
Buyers of Vestel devices can test the HD Plus transmitter package and the new HD Plus convenience function free of charge for six months. The latter enables the restart of selected programs, direct access to media libraries and an innovative, interactive TV guide with customizable search patterns. The TV guide finds programs in the linear satellite program offer as well as in the non-linear one.
Georges Agnes, General Manager Operations and Product Development at HD +: “With the integration of HD + we started a small revolution last year. HD + is now much easier and more comfortable for viewers to use. “
