Hidden settings to use on your Huawei mobile

Secret codes are a great help tool on Android phones, since they give us access to many functions and menus that we normally do not have access to. Also, depending on the brand of your phone, there are some hidden settings available only for that brand. This is the case with Huawei mobiles, which have some hidden settings that may be of interest to any user in Spain with a brand mobile.

Below we collect some hidden settings that we can use on a Huawei phone. Thanks to them we have access to additional functions, which we could not otherwise use on the device. These settings are usually available in most practical brand phones.

When using these settings, to which we have access through codes in the phone app, it is important use the Huawei phone app. If you use a different one (such as the Google phone app), it is possible that when you enter the code it does not work, but if you do it in the native phone app then it will work. It doesn’t matter if you have another app like the default one for calls.

Project Menu

Project Menu is an advanced menu for Huawei phones, where we have access to a series of important data about the phone, in addition to giving us access to some advanced functions. From this menu we can check if the phone is free, format the phone, change the connection type, see the status and temperature of the battery or update with a file from a microSD card. Advanced functions that may be of interest to some users.

Since this is an advanced menu, it is important to be careful when using it. These are functions that have important consequences on the phone, such as a factory reset, for example. So it is not a menu in which to fiddle without knowing very well what is being done. The way to access it is:

  1. Open the phone app.
  2. Enter the code * # * # 2846579 # * # * in the app.
  3. A menu opens.
  4. Explore menu options.

See the entire calendar

Huawei phones, a large part of them at least, have a hidden menu where we can see all calendar events at the same time. It is a great help in case we have many events in said calendar, since it allows us to have a good control and overview of it directly, without having to go to the application of the calendar itself.

By using this hidden menu, the system will show us all the events that are stored in the calendar. Also, going to show us these differentiated events depending on the type and group (meetings, birthdays, holidays, etc). So it is easy to distinguish between events. It can be seen this way:

  1. Open the phone app on Huawei.
  2. Enter the code * # * # 225 # * # *
  3. See the calendar.

View phone IMEI

Knowing the IMEI of the mobile is something important, for which there are many different ways. One of them is using a hidden code or setting on the phone, which is also possible on Huawei phones. May be helpful at times when you need to use this number, being able to access it in a matter of a few seconds. This method usually works on practically all Huawei phones, so you should have no problems:

  1. Open the phone app.
  2. Enter the code * # 06 #
  3. Check the IMEI.

FCM diagnosis

FCM stands for Firebase Cloud Messaging, which is the system in charge of sending push notifications and messages to the phone. Thanks to this system we can receive messages from applications such as WhatsApp on the phone. Huawei devices allow access to data about this type of notifications in a hidden menu, in addition to being able to see the most recent messages received through any of these applications.

  1. Open the phone app.
  2. Enter the code * # * # 426 # * # * in it.
  3. Access the menu and if there are new messages you can see them there.

Telephone information

This feature is more of a shortcut than a hidden phone setting. If we need to go to the Information section of the phone, which is within the settings and means we have to make several presses within that menu, in Huawei we can go to this section directly through a code. So for many users it can be a way to access more quickly, saving time in this way. The steps are:

  1. Open the phone app.
  2. Enter the code * # * # 0000 # * # *
  3. Get or check the data you wanted.
