How to fix Google Play Services bugs on Redmi Note 8 Pro

He Redmi Note 8 Pro It has turned out to be an excellent mobile, but that does not mean that it is free of flaws. If we take a look at the company’s support forums and the specialized Redit forums, we see that there is a common mistake among the owners of the device: Google Play Services has stopped.

User complaints in this regard are usually quite similar, claiming that without doing anything in particular this message appears on the screen preventing them from using their mobile phone normally. The most normal thing is that it makes an appearance when we try to open a specific app that seems to conflict with the system Android

I have no idea why Google Play services have stopped, if even a reboot doesn’t fix it, try to log the issue to help Google realize what’s going on but still can’t solve it.

Google Play Services

Why does this happen?

Although it is one of the main failures of the Redmi Note 8 ProThis does not mean that Google’s mobile services work well on all phones. In fact, it is one of the most recurring problems that users of the operating system face.

The main reason for this to happen is that the Xiaomi System Updater overwrites the current Google Services with a previous version, or a version from a different channel, and this makes the mobile cache no longer compatible. Therefore, every time Google Services tries to read cached data, it is blocked.

It is also possible that the error appears when an OTA update changes the version of the operating system without clearing the cache of Google Services. Cached Google Services data from the previous Android version is not compatible with the new version and displays the dreaded message. However, the most common is that you have installed a third-party application that “updates” Google Play services using an incompatible version, a different channel or an altered APK. Updates do not clear the cache, so the new version tries to read the incompatible cache from the previous version and crashes.

Is clearing the mobile cache the solution?

If you have been attentive, you have surely realized that all the explanations to the problem have the same origin: the Google Play Services cache. This leads us to think, correctly, that cleaning it will end the uncomfortable problem of Xiaomi’s phone.

To end the error, all you have to do is delete the data from Google Play and Google Play Services from the Settings> Applications menu. Once inside select the Storage option as you see in this image.

clear cache

If this does not work, again in the Applications> Google Services menu, then tap on the context menu (three vertical dots) in the upper right. Then we just have to click on “Uninstall updates”.

If it does not work, restore the factory settings of your Xiaomi mobile by doing a hard reset.
