As soon as we use our mobile, it is easy to have dozens and dozens of applications installed. In addition to those that come installed by default, we have to add those that we install ourselves. Privacy in this regard is also important, which is why mobile phones Realme allow hide the applications that we consider appropriate and that no one else will be able to see even if they have our mobile in hand.

Realme arrived in Spain with a DNA deeply rooted in OPPO, although we are seeing how the firm claims its own identity. Part of this maturity has gone through launching its own customization layer, going from ColorOS to RealmeUI. This means that the firm can play with its own functions and adapt them to its style and the tastes of its fans. One of the most interesting functions is the one that allows you to hide applications, to improve the always important privacy.

How to hide apps

There are applications whose character or content may be more or less sensitive in our opinion. For this reason, we can hide them so they disappear from the view of other users that they can access our terminal at specific times. In order to hide an app, we will have to go to the Settings menu and enter the “Privacy” section once inside we will have to go down to the “Application blocking” option.

Set the code

Once inside we will have to set a security code, which will serve to access the safe and hidden applications. If the apps we enter are frequently used, it is recommended to establish a code that is not very long but easy to enter and remember. The setup will also ask us to set a security question and email recovery option.

Choose apps

The next step shows us a window with all applications installed on our mobile. Now we will only have to choose those that we want to keep hidden. When choosing them, a pop-up window will allow us to choose the password lock and the possibility of also hiding the desktop icon. In the same way, we can choose whether or not we want it to be shown in recent tasks and if we want to hide notifications regarding the hidden app. With all the options activated, we will make the app practically invisible to the eyes of other people who can access our mobile.

How to make them appear?

When we activate the option to hide screen icon, we will see a popup that will invite us to create an access number under the pattern # number #. Once established (for example # 2020 #) we will have to type it in our telephone dialer. This is how we can access both our safe and hidden applications. There is also an additional trick to see these apps, and that is using the assistant’s search engine, but to access them we will have to enter the fingerprint or security code.
