Huawei would present its next high-end processor at IFA 2020

IFA 2020 takes place in Berlin from September 3 to 5, with a physical event adapted to the current situation, as confirmed by the organization responsible for the event last May. Little by little more is becoming known about this event, its presentations (which we can follow from Spain) and the brands present. Honor confirmed its presence yesterday and Huawei could also be at the event.

Huawei is an old acquaintance of the IFA in Berlin, last year they presented there Kirin 990, its high-end chip. It seems that in this year’s edition the brand would repeat this, since the fair in the German capital would be the setting chosen for the presentation of your next high-end processor.

Huawei would be at IFA 2020

Kirin 1000 would be the name of this new processor high-end Huawei. A processor that we will surely see in the Mate 40 range, which should hit the market this fall. The date chosen by the brand to present this processor would be September 5, at this IFA 2020 in Berlin.

As you would expect from a processor within the high range, the Kirin 1000 would come with 5G connectivity serial. A processor called to compete in power with others such as Snapdragon 875 from Qualcomm, which would be presented later this year. This processor would also be manufactured in 5 nm, thus being the first in the market for mobile phones in this manufacturing process.

TSMC has been in charge of producing this new Huawei chip, as is customary for the Chinese brand. Apparently, about 15 million units would be produced of the same. Do not forget that it will be the processor chosen for the Mate 40 this fall, in addition to the P50 that would become official in the first months of next year, in short, the next two ranges within the premium segment of the Chinese brand.

It is not something that has been confirmed yet, but it is not the first time that Huawei presents its processor for the high-end at IFA 2020. So it is possible that on September 5 we will get to know Kirin 1000 officially.
