Huge TV for a small price – is it worth buying a TV?

If you want to treat yourself to a TV as large as possible at a low price, you can hit Aldi tomorrow. The discounter sells a 75-inch TV for a bargain price of just 775 euros. GIGA tells you what’s inside and whether the purchase is worth it.

Due to the current situation, you can no longer do everything as it used to be. It is all the more important that you have a decent TV at home with which you can pass the time. Whether streaming, watching TV or playing, the TV must be big enough. If 55 or 65 inches are no longer enough, Aldi North and South will get a gigantic 75-inch TV for a mere 775.03 euros from July 30, 2020. Normally, the TV costs 799 euros, thanks to the VAT reduction that Aldi passes on directly to its customers, of course, you just save almost 24 euros on the purchase. But what do you get at this price? Indeed, a fairly well-equipped television, as a look at the features shows:

  • 4K resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels
  • HDR function
  • Image optimization through CTI, 3D comb filter and noise reduction

That’s a lot of TV for only 775 euros. The TV has a small drawback. The LCD panel is not one of the brightest displays on the market. If you don’t put the Medion TV directly at the window, that shouldn’t be a problem.

Who is it worth buying the Aldi TV for?

For everyone who wants it to be as cheap and large as possible. A 75-inch TV for 775 euros is not often available. Of course, you have to make small cuts here and there. The panel is not the brightest and best on the market. Nevertheless, you get a solid TV at an attractive price that cuts a good figure in every living room and almost gives you a cinema feeling. There are alternatives from Samsung or LG on offer, but they are noticeably more expensive than the Medion TV. Aldi is currently simply unbeatable in this area. The huge television is also delivered home at no extra charge.
