Deutsche Telekom is currently advertising a new hybrid LTE option. Fixed network customers should now be able to surf even faster than before.
With good LTE coverage, a hybrid router should now combine up to 300 Mbit / s with the existing landline speed, according to Telekom. As the company goes on to say, the necessary Speedport Pro router uses the mobile network parallel to the fixed network for data transmission. This means that large amounts of data can also be transported quickly.
The Hybrid LTE option can now be added to all Magenta Home tariffs for EUR 4.95 a month. The Speedport Pro Router costs an additional one-time fee of 389.82 euros. The alternative to renting costs EUR 9.70 per month. Those who book by September 30th should also be able to get the option for the first three months at no extra charge. In the Magenta at home XS and S tariffs, customers with small bandwidths should be able to receive the option at no extra charge.
As Deutsche Telekom explains, the router sets itself up at the telecom connection during installation. In addition to higher speed, hybrid customers should also be able to work with higher connection security. If there is a fault in the fixed network, you can simply continue surfing and making calls via the mobile network.
