The international radio exhibition cannot take place as planned – ongoing travel restrictions prevent many dealers from being physically present at the fair in Berlin. Instead, a large part of the IFA 2020 Special Edition will be moved to the Internet.
At the beginning of September, more than 600 dealers from all over the world came together in Berlin for the international radio exhibition and presented their innovations, products and services. However, due to the ongoing travel restrictions, many retailers from Asian countries in particular were forced to cancel their participation for this year. The organizer has now decided to postpone the affected area IFA to 2021. So that some retailers still have the chance to present themselves, IFA 2020 is organizing a digital special edition in addition to a local minimized trade fair from September 3rd to 5th.
Every year, IFA Global Markets is an international showcase and marketplace for manufacturers, suppliers and retailers of consumer electronics and household appliances. As part of the IFA Virtual Market Place, all companies that had planned to participate in the IFA 2020 Special Edition and cannot participate have the opportunity to digitally present their brands, products and innovations. But for companies that are still planning to participate in 2020, the IFA team offers alternative solutions for a successful IFA appearance.
Global brands such as BSH, Huawei, Honor, JVC Kenwood, LG, Miele, Qualcomm, Schneider electric and many more have already announced their participation in the IFA 2020 Special Edition and will present their latest innovations and products. Due to the current situation, increased hygiene standards and safety measures also apply at the small trade fair in Berlin. Prior registration is required to participate as a trade visitor or media representative in the IFA 2020 Special Edition. Registered participants also get access to the IFA 2020 Xtended Space, the digital extension of the IFA 2020 Special Edition.
