We have been a few weeks hearing about the Samsung Galaxy M31s. This is the evolution of the Galaxy M31 that Samsung presented half a year ago. This evolution is about to be officially unveiled, and now we’re back in the fray with two new leaked images revealing one of its biggest secrets, which will be one of the biggest differences from the standard M31.
Samsung usually gives priority to India, in regards to the presentations and launches of the Galaxy M family. These devices later arrive in Spain, although the odd model has fallen by the wayside. All eyes are now on the Galaxy M31s, which could become the Samsung’s cheapest mobile phone to have an on-screen fingerprint sensor.
With fingerprint sensor on the screen?
It has been the 91Mobiles medium, the one that has had access to two exclusive images of the device. What is most striking is that we did not find a fingerprint sensor on the back, which could indicate that Samsung has integrated it into the screen, bringing this technology to the company’s cheapest phones and a security attribute that until recently it was reserved for much more expensive and technically more advanced terminals.
On sale in August
In addition and according to the same source, the Galaxy M31s will on sale in India from August 6 on Amazon and the official website of Samsung, which places its once again expected its presentation for the end of this July. The new leaked images show a Samsung Galaxy M31s in black, showing a configuration of four L-shaped rear cameras, accompanied by an LED flash. It also sports a front panel with a hole to house the front sensor.
What we know
Based on previous leaked data, the M31s will integrate a processor Exynos 9611, accompanied by 6 GB of RAM and at least 64 GB internal memory, which can be expanded using microSD cards. The terminal will arrive with a 64 megapixel main sensor, an 8 megapixel wide angle and 5 megapixel depth and macro sensors. The terminal could arrive with a 6,000 mAh battery and 15W fast charge. We will leave doubts in just a few days, but as is usual in Samsung India, the device may appear ahead of time in some official “teasers” in the form of an aperitif.
