In UHD quality: "Blues Brothers" return to the cinema once today

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the cult film, the “Blues Brothers” are returning to the big screen.


40 years of “Blues Brothers” – that has to be celebrated! On this occasion, Cinemaxx is showing the cult cult film today, Wednesday, July 22, in Germany in a one-time re-release as an extended version. 15 minutes of additional material are embedded in this version and the image quality has been upgraded to 4K.

Ex-Knacki Jake Blues (John Belushi) and his brother Elwood Blues (Dan Aykroyd) want to bring their old band back together to get the $ 5,000 that the orphanage where they grew up lacking. But while the brothers are doing everything they can to make their plan a reality, soon the police are not the only thing behind them.

Tickets for “The Blues Brothers Extended Version” are available online for 4.99 euros. When visiting the cinema, the new safety and hygiene concepts must be observed.

The participating cinemas are in Augsburg, Berlin, Bielefeld, Bremen, Dresden, Essen, Freiburg, Göttingen, Halle, Hamm, Hanover, Heilbronn, Hamburg Dammtor, Kiel, Krefeld, Magdeburg, Mülheim, Munich, Offenbach, Oldenburg, Regensburg, Stuttgart SI Centrum, Sindelfingen, Trier, Wolfsburg, Wuppertal and Würzburg.
