Digital transformation and business agility are high on the agenda of every CIO today. The integration of applications and services is of strategic importance. Because we live in a world in which business processes run in the cloud, supply chains are automated and companies communicate digitally with customers and partners around the clock. Processes can only be digitized holistically, new value streams generated and agile responses to disruptive changes in the competition can only be achieved through continuous networking.

The quest for more agility changes the integration tasks themselves. New tasks are regularly added, which also result in new responsibilities:

  • Self-service portals and low-code platforms are intended to enable users from specialist areas to integrate their own applications, data and processes. To do this, they only need a small amount of technical knowledge.
