A la Carta, is an online platform that offers all the news, programs, RTVE series and online documentaries that are broadcast in Spanish Television and National Radio of Spain. It can be accessed from the web to see both the live programming and the different spaces broadcast on its channels. We can see the content by channels, by categories, see the most popular videos or even the historical archive of RTVE.
For its part, the Clan application is an on-demand service that allows you to watch the channel’s series anywhere. It is currently available for mobile phones and tablets with iOS or Android, Smart TV (Samsung or Philips) and video game consoles like PS3 or PS4. Clan can also be enjoyed through the Red Button portal, which gives access to all children’s videos on connected televisions.
A la Carta, Clan and more RTVE in Movistar and Vodafone?
RTVE wants its content to be available on as many platforms as possible. For this reason, it negotiates with several telecommunications operators, including Movistar and Vodafone, in addition to other companies in the world of technology such as Sony or Spotify. In the case of the Japanese company, the goal would be for some of its applications to be available at the launch of the new PlayStation 5 console.
With regard to Spotify, an agreement would have been reached at the legal level and the latest commercial fringes would be being finalized in order to make it public. In this case, we assume that it would involve integrating the RTVE radio channels or allowing some of the radio programs of National Radio of Spain
In the case of Orange, which, surely many are wondering, both the A la Carte service and the Clan application have been available through the decoder for a few days. This allows us to get an idea of the type of agreement that RTVE is pursuing with Movistar or Vodafone, and that could be announced in a matter of days (or maximum weeks).
