The battery life of our iPhone has always been, and will be, one of the most important issues for all users. When Apple releases a new update, many users wait a few days to listen to the community and see if it is advisable to update or wait.
Today we talk again about a new battery test, a test that compare battery life between the first and fourth beta of iOS 14 and updates to iOS 13.5.1 and iOS 13.6, the latest version of iOS that Apple is currently signing from its servers.
According to the guys at iAppleBytes, they have never done battery life tests on beta versions of iOS, since they are still trial versions that are not 100% optimized. However, this time it has carried out the battery life tests with both the first beta of iOS 14 and the latest available today.
The results have compared them to the final versions of iOS 13.5.1 and iOS 13.6. Unlike on other occasions, iAppleBytes has only performed these tests on two terminals, specifically on iPhone SE 2020 and iPhone 11 Pro Max, the terminals with the lowest and highest battery capacity in the iPhone range today respectively.
If you are testing iOS 14 from the first beta, you will have checked how the latest beta available has reduced battery life at levels similar to iOS 13.6, a version that experienced a reduction in battery life in almost all terminals.
It is striking that the first beta of iOS 14 that Apple launched just after the keynote of presentation of iOs 14, that is, of all the versions analyzed, the one with the longest battery life, even older than the latest final versions of iOS 14.
