BritBox is a streaming service for British series and film productions. Now the provider wants to expand into other countries.

The site was created as a collaboration between ITV and the BBC Studios. Anyone who has had a look at the platform will find that the streaming service is so far only available in the United States and Canada, in addition to the United Kingdom. However, 25 new countries around the world will soon be added. Britbox plans to expand to Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South America, Australia and Africa. It was only this year that the number of subscribers in the USA and Canada had recently passed the million mark.

So it could very well be that the British streaming provider will soon be able to flicker on German screens. The program includes titles such as “Doctor Who”, “Vera – A Very Special Case”, “Murder on Shetland” or the “Miss Marple” series based on Agatha Christie. In addition, BritBox has already started to develop its own original productions such as the drama series “The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco”.

If you look at the prices in the countries available so far, a subscription in Germany should cost around 6 to 7 euros per month. Official reports on subscription details and the exact countries are currently pending.
