The screen is 6.5 inches and the front camera is inserted on it in the upper left corner. In the back are the four cameras plus the flash, aligned. Weight is 191 gramsDepending on the mobile from which we come, it may seem like an excessive weight or not. The exterior is made of a polycarbonate highly polished, giving it a shiny, steel look. This body type can be slippery at times, but LG makes up for it with the detail of including a Jelly case inside.

The screen is one of 6.53 inch, it is a panel IPS-LC In-Cell Touch with resolution FHD + and FullVision format. One of the best screens we’ve seen in the mid-range, with good viewing from all angles and outdoors and with an automatic brightness sensor that works perfectly. Thanks to the inclusion of the front camera in one of the corners the screen is better used. Despite everything, the edges are not all as tight as we would like, but still the ratio is very good.

If we want we can hide the front camera with a band and it also has a night mode and an adjustable reading filter.

On the front, it includes a single sensor 16 megapixels with f / 2.0 aperture, while the rear photographic equipment consists of a main sensor of 48 megapixels f / 1.79, a wide angle of 8 megapixels f / 2.2 with a field of view of 118 degrees, a 5 megapixels for depth readings and a 2 megapixels for macro photography. To this we must add an LED flash and Full HD video recording (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) at 30 fps.

The camera app proposed by LG offers us a carousel with the shooting modes ‘Portrait’, ‘Video’, ‘Photo’ (automatic), ‘AI CAM’ (supported by artificial intelligence) and ‘More’ where Among others, we find the Panoramic, Food and Macro modes (they can be added to the carousel). There are also shortcuts to settings, flash, filters, and timer. Everything quite intuitive and at hand, except for the HDR, which is activated within the Settings.

The cameras are correct, giving us good resolution and detail when conditions are optimal.

Performance and Battery

The LG K61 incorporates a processor MediaTek Helium P35, an eight-core chipset that runs up to 2.3 GHz and which, in this model, is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. In general, the operation is quite correct and works smoothly in social networks and games, but from time to time the phone needs to restart and lets us choose when we want it to.

In the autonomy section, we find a battery of 4,000 mAh, which, according to the brand, offers up to 610 hours of standby time. At the moment of truth, with a medium use (which is what a model of this category is intended for), the LG K61 gives us some 7 hours screen, which allows us to get to the end of the day without having to charge the phone.

It also allows us to activate the adaptive battery to limit the consumption of apps that are not used frequently and includes two energy saving modes: Extended and Maximum. In addition, it supports fast charging, so it is possible to go from 0 to 100% energy in just over 2 hours.

The LG K61 comes with Android 9 standard, one below the current version of Android, and carries the customization layer of LG UX. Thanks to this layer we have several customization options, such as design themes to change logos or wallpapers. Of course, if we want to use them we will have to sign up for this LG service, once we have an account we can have some free and others that can be paid. LG also incorporates its own applications to enjoy the ecosystem of other LG products, such as Smart World. It also includes applications that can be very useful like Smart Doctor to detect what is going wrong on your mobile.

On the contrary, it also comes with some free Bloatware. Four installed games from Gameloft and the Booking application.

Of the 128 GB of capacity, we have about 106 GB free to start.

The LG K61 is a perfectly balanced mobile, it could be said that it is a phone that has a presence, in hand it goes through a top-quality terminal and this is confirmed by its cameras and processor.

The problem comes when the use is very continuous, from time to time the phone requires us to reboot to adjust some parameters, although it is true that it gives us the possibility to choose the time of the reboot sometimes this can bring some problem. On one occasion, after one of these restarts, the mobile phone did not unlock when pressing the lock button when it was locked and it was necessary to press for a minute so that the unlock screen would appear and the same thing happened when a call was being received. To correct it it was necessary to format the phone.

But except for that thorn, the truth that it is a very correct mobile, a good choice if we are looking for a mid-range.

LG K61

A mobile phone with very correct qualities, has everything you need for an acceptable price.
