Live at Sport1: Golf and gallop races can be received free of charge

Two highlights from the world of equestrian and golf sports live at Sport1: The 151st German Derby in Hamburg and Germany’s best-attended golf tournament at the end of July also show Sport1 in a live stream.


A ray of hope for German golf: Top international golfers compete with German national players – live and in highlights on Sport1: The GTGA Invitational from July 22nd to 25th at the Stolper Heide Golf Club in Berlin applies to both the Women and men from seven nations as the best-occupied amateur tournament this year on German soil. Numerous top 100 international golf players crown the competition.

The livestream – a total of around 24 live hours – is staged for golf fans thanks to a high-quality camera concept with ten cameras and its own TV studio. The commentator is Uwe Bornemeier.

On the four days of the tournament, at least six hours a day will be broadcast live on the Sport1 website and Sport1 apps. The kick-off is on Wednesday, July 22, live from 1 p.m. In addition, Sport1 will show a highlight magazine on Free TV after 6.30 p.m. on Sunday, July 26th.

German gallop race day

The starting signal for a new partnership: Sport1 GmbH has agreed an extensive cooperation with Deutscher Galopp before the big derby weekend in Hamburg. Sport1 will be broadcasting a total of ten race days live on free TV and as a live stream on the website and the Sport1 apps by mid-October this year.

The program starts with four hours live from the derby meeting on the racecourse in Hamburg-Horn: on Saturday, July 11th it starts at 12 noon and on Sunday, July 12th the broadcast starts at 3 p.m. – with the 151. German derby as the crowning glory of the racing days. At € 650,000, the derby is the season’s highest endowed race, and the winner gets € 390,000.

Five further racing days are to follow by mid-October, which Sport1 will broadcast live on free TV and in live stream. In July, after the derby weekend in Hamburg, the race days on July 18 in Cologne, on July 25 in Hanover and on July 26 in Munich are also on the program.
