"Making It": New hobbyist show starts at Sky

Sky has secured the rights to a new reality show from America. From the end of August, “Making It” will plan, saw and tinker as much as possible.

Carpentry, interior design, fashion or handicrafts: “Making It” wants to present numerous talents. In each of the 14 episodes, the candidates have to face a “Faster Craft” and a “Master Craft” assignment. The participants then present the results to a jury, which will make their critical judgment. With it are fashion designers Simon Doonan and Dayna Isom Johnson from the online platform Etsy, as Sky announced. The “Master Maker” will be awarded $ 100,000 in prize money in the end.

The home improvement format is moderated by the acting stars Amy Poehler (“Saturday Night Life”, “Everything is upside down”) and Nick Offerman (“Fargo”, “Bad Times at the El Royale”). Fans of “Parks and Recreation” should already be known to the two. The comedy series also runs on Sky in Germany.

Sky brings the show to Germany as a TV premiere with two seasons. The first season with six episodes will start on August 31. The second, eight episode season will then start on September 21st. Every Monday at 9.20 p.m., the format runs in double episodes on Sky One. In parallel, the episodes are available on Sky Ticket, Sky Go and Sky Q.

What the broadcasters can look forward to is explained by the moderator duo on the official YouTube channel of “Making It”:
