MásMóvil Q2 2020 Results: income, benefits and customers

The MásMóvil Group adds and continues. The operator that brings together MásMóvil under the same roof with Yoigo, Pepephone, Lebara, Llamaya, Hits Mobile and Oceans, among others, has presented the results corresponding to the second quarter of the year and the accumulated results for the first 6 months of 2020. Beyond the financial and profitability figures, it is worth noting that they have exceeded 10 million customers for the first time. We review this and the rest of the figures below.

In a quarter marked by confinement and portability limitationSince it includes April, May and June, the MásMóvil Group has continued its growth. During this time, it has obtained an EBITDA of 143 million euros, 28% more than in the same period of the previous year. The EBITDA margin in the first half has increased to 32% in this quarter.

Service revenue increased in the second quarter to 416 million euros, which represents an increase of 18%. For its part, total revenue was 453 million euros, or what is the same, 10% more than the previous year on the same dates.

10 million customers and more than 25 million households with fiber

At the close of the first half of the year, the operator had invested 185 million, of which 43 million euros were used to expand fiber coverage. Currently, they can offer their services to 25.2 million households, being 13.8 million its own fiber network or use rights. The rest of the 12.4 million are thanks to the agreements it maintains with other operators, including wholesale access. 4G coverage is 98.5% of the Spanish population, with agreements with Movistar and Orange.


During the complicated second quarter of the year, the MásMóvil Group reached 261,000 discharges, of which 153,000 are mobile postpaid customers and 108,000 are fixed broadband. In total, 10.7 million customers, of which 8.9 million are mobile and 1.7 fixed broadband. Of the mobile lines, 6 million are under contract and prepaid grew 59% by incorporating the lines after the acquisition of Lyca Spain (Lycamobile), reaching 2.9 million in total.

Currently, few customers unsubscribe from MásMóvil, unsubscribe from Yoigo or the rest of its brands. It is the first time that yellows have exceeded 10 million customers. In the first quarter of 2020 they kept 9.2 million. Commercial growth along with prepaid lines of Lycamobile have been key.
