Microsoft actually wanted to launch a very special product with unique features and a new operating system this year. Nothing will come of it, as it turns out.
Surface Neo will no longer appear in 2020
The speculations about the market launch of the Surface Neo take a surprising turn. The dual display device with the new Windows 10X actually announced by Microsoft for this year will no longer appear in 2020. Microsoft has quietly and secretly removed a corresponding note from the page – reports WinFuture. Microsoft probably cannot keep the schedule that it has set itself and does not want this to come into focus. The company has not revealed exactly where the problems lie.
What the Surface Neo can do:
With the Surface Neo, Microsoft wanted to show what the company can do and how to optimally use Windows 10X on a dual display device. Microsoft has to adapt the new operating system specifically for use on two screens. In May the company announced that it would initially concentrate on devices with a screen. The changes that are necessary for use on two screens will probably not be possible within the intended time frame. That should disappoint real Surface fans who have already been looking forward to being able to buy a dual display device for Christmas.
Surface Neo: what’s next?
Microsoft has not yet announced a new appointment for the Surface Neo. So it is in the stars when the device appears. Since Windows 10X is not adapted for dual display devices, all products from the competition that should possibly appear this year are also likely to be delayed. An official statement is currently still missing. GIGA will inform you when new information about the Surface Neo appears.
