The mod trailer shows some awesome graphics enhancements, including HD grass, stones, and maximum immersion textures to enhance your experience. In addition to these improved textures, you can experience real-time ocean reflections, grass and vegetation shadows, and improved sky and indoor lighting, for example.

  • 8K rocks and grounds
  • 4K structures
  • Maximum water
  • Reflections of the screen space
  • Maximum particles
  • Particle lights
  • Maximum lighting
  • Indirect sky lighting
  • Interior lighting revised
  • Improved fog volumes
  • Maximum vegetation

The modding team said, “The goal of our mod was to achieve the ultimate graphics mod (relative to modern standards) for Crysis 1.”

This mod was previously only released for Remaster Studio Patrons, but is now available to everyone. However, some features like the custom 8K, 4K, and 2K textures are only available to users.

To download this mod, you need to go to the Mod DB website to download the files there.

Crysis is still a challenging game to this day, so in conjunction with this mod it would be a great game to put a new PC build through its paces.

What about the Crysis Remaster?

The elephant in the room here is the fact that Crysis Remastered is coming soon. However, as soon as people looked at the announcement trailer, the pictures were criticized.

As a result, Crytek has postponed its official Crysis remaster. However, the Nintendo Switch version of the game will still be released in July.

Crytek responded to criticism of the leaked footage. “Perhaps you knew about the leak yesterday and want you to know. We have seen the reactions – the good and the bad – and we are listening! We’re still working on a number of things in the game and on the storefront. Please let love come and rest assured, you will soon have the game you love! “

With a few comments that the mod looks better than the remaster, it looks like Crytek is having a hard time satisfying everyone. However, it looks like they are considering the feedback for now. So we will see how this situation develops over the next few months.

Have you had the chance to play around with the Enhanced Edition mod? Are you looking forward to the release of Crysis Remastered or are you less than optimistic about the trailer graphics? Let us know your thoughts below.
