The “Red Roses” are approaching episode 3200, with each new season of the ARD telenovela there is also a new leading actress. This time it looks a little different.
In the coming season of the ARD series “Rote Rosen” there will be two leading actresses for the first time. Jana Hora-Goosmann (52) and Judith Sehrbrock (47) take over from Claudia Schmutzler (53). This was announced by a spokesman for ARD on Monday. The leading actress in the telenovela, which is filmed in Lüneburg, changes every 200 episodes.
The focus of the 18th season is on two series-proven actresses, both of whom have “crime scene” experience, among other things. Jana Hora-Goosmann played continuous roles in the RTL productions “Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten”, “Die Wache” and “Stadtklinik”. Judith Sehrbrock was among other things in the series “Behind Gittern – Der Frauenknast”, “Alphateam – Die Lebensretter im OP” and “Notruf Hafenkante”.
Hora-Goosmann will move to Lüneburg as Mona Herzberg in the “Rote Rosen” and there will get to know Tatjana Petrenko, played by Sehrbrock. A friendship develops, but what the two women do not know: They also share a secret, a double life is revealed.
The “Red Roses” have been broadcast since November 2006, making a telenovela the first time that a woman over 40 was the focus of attention. The series is about the second happiness of the respective leading actress. Around 1.4 million people tune in when the series runs at 2:10 p.m. The new season with Hora-Goosmann and Sehrbrock begins with episode 3201 and is expected to be broadcast in mid-October. “The 19th season is already in preparation,” said a production spokesman.
