Inexplicable noises from the dark center of the earth. Screams from the black depths of the ocean and strange sounds from the uncanny vastness of space. With “Stranger Sounds” actor Götz Otto will soon be presenting scary sound documents from all over the world.
“What do you say when I present you with evidence of the existence of hell? An almost incredible sound document, recorded with one of the longest microphones in the world, which has been left in the middle of the earth and has revealed recordings that make us shudder, ”says Götz Otto at the beginning of the first episode of“ Stranger Sounds ”- and takes his listeners on a journey through time to the Soviet Union in the 1960s: a daring experiment takes place on the Russian peninsula of Kola in the middle of the arctic tundra under the strictest secrecy. The USSR wants to drill the deepest hole in the world.
“Welcome to the recordings from hell!” Announced Götz Otto and presented disturbing sound recordings from more than twelve kilometers deep. With this not really serious sensational announcement, FYEO, the audio platform from ProSiebenSat.1, invites the audience to experience eerie soundscapes in the style of an old-fashioned ghost train operator. From July 3rd, actor Götz Otto, who presents himself wonderfully old-fashioned with a soldier’s mustache and imposing chin on the advertising poster, can then be followed on the Lausch expedition.
In addition to freely available podcasts, the free audio app FYEO (“For Your Ears Only”) offers a premium area (4.99 euros per month). The exclusive FYEO Originals include formats such as “MAKEL” with Alice Dwyer, Heike Makatsch and Peter Lohmeyer or the audio sitcom “Callboy” with Denis Moschitto.
