As soon as the presentation of the new generation of graphics cards is just around the corner, the prices of the current generation tumble. Alternate offers a good custom model of the RTX 2080 SUPER at an absolute top price. GIGA will tell you for whom the investment is worthwhile.
Update from 08/13/2020: Now we’re getting one after the other. Since the new graphics cards from Nvidia will soon be released, the dealers now seem to want to get their stocks empty. Alternate is also included, which is why they offer a very good custom model of the high-end GPU with the EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER BLACK GAMING at a top price of just 635.79 euros.
The offer is only available today and could be sold out quickly. So if you are looking for a good high-end card at a moderate price, you should grab it quickly. By the way: Since the graphics card only has a height of 2 slots, it is also ideal for installation in smaller housings.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER: High-end graphics card falls below the magical price limit
Nvidia’s new RTX 2080 SUPER more than lives up to its name. The graphics card with ray tracing function replaces the somewhat older RTX 2080, offers on average around 5-10 percent more performance, but for a clever custom model you had to spend significantly more than 700 euros. That is now changing thanks to the discount code POWERSAVING 2019 from eBay.
Thanks to this promotion, you can get the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER Windforce OC for just one time 697.00 euros to back up.
If you also select the “Click & Collect” option, have the graphics card delivered to your local MediaMarkt and collect it there, you save 1.99 euros on shipping costs.
A look at the current price trend shows that usually a whopping 720-750 euros are called for the graphics card. The savings from the discount code from eBay are not bad.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER: Who is it worth buying for?
In terms of performance, the RTX 2080 SUPER sits between the RTX 2080 and the RTX 2080 Ti. This means that you can easily play all current games in WQHD and activated ray tracing with the graphics card. Even at maximum settings, stable frame rates of more than 60 FPS are achieved. In games like Apex Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Fortnite or Rocket League, the frame rate is of course significantly higher. If you mainly play these or other esports games, you can easily make full use of a suitable WQHD gaming monitor with a refresh rate of 144 Hz.
If the resolution is increased to 4K, the RTX 2080 SUPER can still break the magical 60 FPS mark in most cases. But if ray tracing is also activated, the graphics card reaches its limits in the corresponding games. If you don’t want to accept a sharp drop in the frame rate, you should also activate DLSS.

Powerful, quiet, but very big – these are the words that best describe the custom model of the RTX 2080 SUPER from Gigabyte. This variant of Nvidia’s high-performance GPU currently costs around 15 euros more than cheaper versions that are also available on eBay. In return, the model we chose clocks a little faster, keeps the graphics card cooler under load and thus offers a little more overclocking potential. All in all, an incredibly powerful card at a relatively affordable price.
