Shortly before the market launch of the new RTX-3000 cards, the current models are on the brink – at least in terms of price. Mindfactory is currently offering a custom model of the RTX 2080 SUPER at a particularly low price. GIGA tells you where to get the high-end graphics card and for whom the investment is worthwhile.
Update from July 29th, 2020: While there haven’t been many good deals for high-end graphics cards lately, that seems to be changing now. Mindfactory is currently offering the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER Gaming OC at a top price of just EUR 679.00. At the moment there are almost 80 pieces in stock, but this can change very quickly at such a price.
Since this offer is a product from the MindStar catalog, the deal is limited in both time and quantity. So if you are thinking of buying a graphics card, you should be quick. You save the shipping costs if you place the order between 0-6 a.m. During this time, all purchases with a value of more than 150 euros will be sent free of charge.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER: high-end graphics card falls below magical price limit
Nvidia’s new RTX 2080 SUPER more than lives up to its name attachment. The graphics card with ray tracing function replaces the somewhat older RTX 2080, offers an average of about 5-10 percent more power, but so far you had to spend significantly more than 700 euros for a clever custom model. This is now changing thanks to the discount code POWERSPAREN2019 from eBay.
Thanks to this promotion, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER Windforce OC can only be used for just once 697.00 euros to back up.
If you also select the “Click & Collect” option, have the graphics card delivered to your local MediaMarkt and collect it there, you save the shipping costs of 1.99 euros.
A look at the current price trend shows that normally 720-750 euros are called up for the graphics card. The savings from eBay’s discount code are not bad parents.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER: Who is it worth buying?
In terms of performance, the RTX 2080 SUPER is between the RTX 2080 and the RTX 2080 Ti. This means that you can easily play all current games in WQHD and activated ray tracing with the graphics card. Even at maximum settings, stable frame rates of more than 60 FPS are achieved. In games like Apex Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Fortnite or Rocket League, the frame rate is of course significantly higher. If you mainly play these or other Esports games, you can easily take full advantage of a suitable WQHD gaming monitor with a refresh rate of 144 Hz.
If the resolution is raised to 4K, the RTX 2080 SUPER can still break the magical 60 FPS mark in most cases. However, if ray tracing is also activated, the graphics card reaches its limits in the corresponding games. If you do not want to accept a sharp drop in the frame rate, you should also activate DLSS.
If you want to get an idea of the difference raytracing makes in games, the best thing to do is take a look at this video:
Powerful, quiet, but very large – these are the words that best describe the custom model of the RTX 2080 SUPER from Gigabyte. This variant of Nvidia’s high-performance GPU currently costs around 15 euros more than cheaper versions, which are also available on eBay. The model we selected clocked a bit faster, kept the graphics card cooler under load and thus also offered a little more potential for overclocking. All in all, an incredibly powerful card at a relatively affordable price.
