A few hours ago we announced the launch of one of the best Xiaomi televisions, if not the best, the Master TV 65. And it is not the only model of this type of device that we see announced.
OnePlus has presented in India two new series of televisions, the OnePlus U Series and OnePlus Y Series, with several diagonals and different technologies, which come to expand its proposal for smart televisions, started a few months ago.
These models come to expand the catalog base of the brand, which started at the top but now wants to reach users who want to spend less.
OnePlus U Series
The first of the announced families has only one member, with a 55-inch panel and 4K resolution. Construction is aluminum and carbon fiber, resembling the brand’s premium model.
It has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and supports 93% of the DCI-P3 spectrum. It is also compatible with Dolby Vision, HDR10 / 10 + and HLG. It is what OnePlus calls “Cinematic Display”.
The OnePlus TV U1 has a MediaTek MT5887 quad-core Cortex A53 chipset. It has 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. It has four speakers, two full-range speakers, and two tweeters.
OnePlus V Series
The other two models are included in the OnePlus V Series family. There is one with 43 ″ diagonal and FHD resolution and one smaller, 32 ″, with HD ready resolution, with 1366 x 768 pixels.
Both have a 20W speaker and are compatible with Dolby Audio. As for memory, RAM drops to 1 GB and internal storage to 8 GB.
All three models use Android TV and OnePlus software runs on top of it. The OnePlus Connect application allows integrating the use of mobile phones on the television.
In addition, the remote control has been thought for the use of apps like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video, something that is almost an obligation today.
Price and availability of new televisions
All three TV models have been announced specifically for India. In this market they have lower prices than the first model.
The OnePlus TV U1 55 ″ costs 49999 Indian rupees, about 600 euros to change. The two cheapest, the OnePlus TV Y1, start at 12,999 Indian rupees, about 175 euros, for the 32 ”model up to Rs 22,999 for the 43 ″, about 275 euros.
