During the official presentation of Apple TV + in March last year, one of the most recognized faces that came out on stage was that of Oprah, one of the people most loved and influential in the United States in recent decades. As he later stated, the possibility that Apple offered him to reach the whole world could not be missed.
Oprah’s first show for Apple TV + was called Oprah’s book club, a series of five episodes in which the presenter I was talking to different writers. It seems that this series is already finished and Oprah will focus her efforts on another new series of interviews baptized as The Oprah conversation.
This new talk show will premiere next Thursday, July 30, a series focused on debating some of the most important issues “with the most important journalists, thought leaders, and teachers in their trade.”
In the press release in which Apple has informed about the upcoming premiere that will come to Apple TV +, he states that this is being recorded remotely due to pandemic of the coronavirus but will incorporate “audience participation”.
The first episode of this new debate series, is titled «How to be anti-racist» and it will star the author Ibram X and will be available for free on Apple TV + this Thursday, July 30 from 4 P.M. Pacific time (12 at night in Spain on July 31).
The series will continue with a two-part interview with the athlete and activist. Emmanuel Acho on August 7 and a conversation with the author Bryan Stevenson later.
Oprah signed a multi-year collaboration agreement with Apple TV + in 2018, which has allowed this presenter to return to become the media figure who was when he was broadcasting his show on CBS.
