When choosing a brand new game, it is always advisable to look at the system requirements first. With so many games demanding more and more from your PC, it is an easy step to calm down before buying a game.

With the new indie title Othercide, the good news is that the system requirements don’t seem particularly high. If your PC is not a few years old, you can probably do it with high settings.

First of all, you need to check your current PC specifications. If you are not sure how to do this, we have a practical guide to help you. All you have to do is compare your specifications with the requirements recommended below.

No doubt what drew your attention to this game was the fantastically stylized aesthetic. The first trailers were minimalistic, creepy and fascinating in one, making them perfect for horror fans and turn-based strategy game lovers.

The prerequisite is that you take command of the daughters. This is an army of descendants of the greatest warrior who has ever lived. You can control either the Blade Master, the Shield Bearer, or the Soul Linger, which together give humanity’s last hope against the monsters. Your combat skills, abilities and strategies will determine the fate of the world.

This game offers a turn-based strategy style with a dynamic schedule system that provides some fascinating game mechanics. With the timeline system, you can plan ahead and carefully set your combat strategies to outsmart your enemies.

Optimal hardware suggestions

Since this is a fairly simple game that can run on modern PCs, you should be able to meet the recommended requirements without too much trouble. However, if you can only meet the minimum requirements, it should still be enough to reach 30 FPS. However, this is the case at low settings.

To take advantage of the great graphics of this game, we definitely recommend going beyond the recommended requirements if you want to update your PC. This gives you more flexibility to run other, more sophisticated games on your PC.

Which gaming PC do we recommend?

If you mainly play such games, you don’t need an overly powerful machine. Many turn-based strategy games like this are not particularly demanding. However, if you want to play other more challenging turn-based games, you need a PC that can easily keep up with them.

We recommend choosing a budget for a medium-range PC if you want to play genres other than strategy games. A system in the $ 600 range offers everything you need to run this game. With this build, you get an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-core processor and an XFX Radeon RX 580 GTS XXX Edition GPU, which should be more than enough to get you started.

If you want to upgrade your PC to play much more than this type of game, you should of course look at more medium-sized PC builds in the $ 700 to $ 800 range.
