The new Amazon exclusive documentary series gives insights into the life and career of the two-time Formula 1 world champion Fernando Alonso.
On September 25, Amazon Prime Video is expanding its sports content repertoire with the five-part documentary series “Fernando”. The two-time Formula 1 world champion Fernando Alonso is considered to be one of the most successful and popular racing drivers in Spain – Alonso recently announced his expected return to Formula 1 for the coming season. The documentary follows him through the past year and gives insights into the life and career of the Spaniard.
“Fernando” shows Alonso’s passion for competition at the highest level and his undisputed will to win. Last year, he took part in the most important races on tracks such as the Indianapolis 500 and the Le Mans 24-hour race, right up to his debut at the Dakar Rally in January. The inner circle around Alonso also has their say in the documentary – his manager Luis García Abad, his sister Lorena Alonso, his partner Linda Morselli and his colleague Carlos Sainz. Through them, viewers also get to know the private man behind the great champion.
Prime members in Germany and Austria can stream the five episodes in the original English and Spanish versions with German subtitles and in the German dubbed version exclusively on Prime Video. “Fernando” complements the range of exclusive sports content on Prime Video, including “Inside Borussia Dortmund”, “All or Nothing: Manchester City”, “Take Us Home: Leeds United”, “Six Dreams”, Steven Gerrard’s “Make Us Dream” and “El Corazón de Sergio Ramos” and the Amazon original film “SCHW31NS7EIGER Memories – From the beginning to the legend”.
