Samsung has an interesting launch schedule ahead of it for the rest of 2020. However, as happened last year, everything indicates that the Korean company will launch a new Galaxy S20, months after the original models were launched, just as it happened with the Galaxy S10 family.
After Samsung presents its Galaxy S line at the beginning of the year, during the rest of the year the launches of the Galaxy A or Galaxy M families follow one another. Later, in the middle of August, Samsung unveils the new Galaxy Note, although this year there will be more surprises outside the SPen terminals.
A Galaxy S20 Lite or Fan Edition
It was a month ago when the SamMobile media exclusively revealed that Samsung was preparing a new Galaxy S20, which could be called Samsung Galaxy S20 Lite. The gutter terminal with the model number SM-G780 (Global) and SM-G781 (USA). Back then, the first data on the so-called S20 Lite or S20 Fan Edition, as it is known internally, were confusing especially when it comes to the processor section.
Now, the so-called Galaxy S20 Fan Edition has appeared on the famous Geekbench performance program, to reveal that inside it integrates the powerful Snapdragon 865. We could be facing good news, since if Samsung launches only a global variant of this device, as it did with the Galaxy S10 Lite, users could find themselves with a more powerful S20 Lite even than the standard S20 that integrates the Exynos 990 processor. He Galaxy S10 Lite reached all markets with the Snapdragon 855, so Samsung is expected to repeat the move with this still mysterious Galaxy S20 Lite or Galaxy S20 Fan Edition.
In the details of Geekbench, it is detailed that the terminal will arrive, in addition to the Snapdragon 865, with 6 GB of RAM. In the performance scores of this famous application, the terminal scored 737 points in single-core tests and 2,619 in multi-core tests, in line with this powerful chip and similar to that seen in other models.
Its possible presentation
It is still early to know the launch details of this device. It is highly unlikely that it will be presented together with the Galaxy Note 20 next August, since in the queue of presentations there are also the Galaxy Z Flip 5G or the Galaxy Fold 2. It is therefore expected that the Galaxy S20 Lite or Fan Edition , is presented at the end of 2020 or even the beginning of 2020. However, we are sure that the leaks will begin to intensify from this moment and it would not be anything unusual to see its design in the coming weeks as well as more technical details.
