Rogue Company Closed Beta now starts live

Hi-Rez Studios, behind titles like Smite and Tribes: Ascend has just released a brand new shooter.

Rogue Company is a third-person shooter that has just been included in a paid beta. This title was developed by a new team at Hi-Rez called First Watch Games.

What can we expect from Rogue Company?

Rogue Company is a stylish, action-packed shooter with an “action film flair”. This is a tactical shooter game that allows players to qualify as the Rogue Company’s elite agent to defeat villains and save the world.

Stew Chisam, President of Hi-Rez Studios, said they wanted to develop a game that contained all the ingredients of great shooter games and yet offered something different. He described it as “immediately familiar, but refreshing and unique”.

Rogue Company has several different multiplayer modes so far. The first is extraction, a 4v4 mode in which one team has to hack a target and the other team has to defend it. Another multiplayer mode is the 2v2 mode called Wingman, but there aren’t many details on that yet. We expect more modes to be added over time.
