20 single men fight for “Prince Charming”: The gay dating show on Vox and TVNow will soon be entering its second round.
Alexander Schäfer, that’s the name of the new “Prince Charming”. “I can hardly believe it myself and I would be lying if I said: ‘I’m not excited,'” says the 29-year-old marketing manager from Frankfurt am Main.
The first season was well received: in the “Entertainment” category, the format was awarded a Grimme Prize and nominated for the German TV Award. After the show in autumn 2019 was initially only available online at TVNow, Vox brought the repetition to free TV from April.
And the first season also seems to have been a complete success in terms of love: Germany’s first “Prince Charming” Nicolas Puschmann is still with his finalist Lars Tönsfeuerborn.
In the second season of the TVNow Original, bachelor Alexander will soon be looking for his dream man and is looking forward to spending time with the singles: “It will definitely be an unforgettable time, in which I will hopefully get to know my husband for life.”
Whether in individual or group dates – this is how Alexander gets to know the 20 singles better. At the end of each episode, you have to make a decision: If you don’t suit him, you have to leave the show on “Gentlemen Night”. A lot of feelings, intrigue and zoff are pre-programmed. And who knows what happens in the single villa when Alexander is not there.
Soon fans can look forward to the second round of the gay dating show: TVNow and Vox will show the new, second season of “Prince Charming” later this year.
