The British thriller series “Save Me” by “The Walking Dead” star Lennie James is going into the second round with “Save Me Too” next month at Sky.
With the role of Morgan Jones in “The Walking Dead” Lennie James rose to the star. In the thriller series “Save Me” he now plays the incorrigible drinker Nelson, who is at home in the local pub.
Seventeen months have passed since Nelly Rowe (Lennie James) rescued young Grace (Olive Gray) from the clutches of girl dealer Gideon Charles (Adrian Edmondson) while looking for his missing daughter Jody (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) . The second season of “Save Me” will show whether Grace can give hints to Jody’s fate and Nelly can still prove his innocence or whether the search for his daughter ends up in a cul-de-sac.
Lennie James wrote the character role for himself: not only did he come up with the idea and the script for the six-part mini series, he also acts as executive producer. “Save Me” features Lennie James, “Boardwalk Empire” star Stephen Graham and Suranne Jones (“Gentleman Jack”, “Dr. Who”).
From August 27, “Save Me Too” will run twice every Thursday on 8.15 p.m. on Sky Atlantic HD. In parallel, the first and second season are available on Sky Box Set via Sky Ticket and via Sky Q. All episodes are available in German or in the original as well as in UHD.
