In August, Sky donated the DC superheroes their own pop-up channel. For a full week fans can follow the adventures of Batman, Joker, Harley Quinn and Co. around the clock.
From today, August 14th to 23rd, 15 DC comic adaptations can be watched on the channel. “Sky Cinema DC Heroes” is the name of the station. In addition to the highly acclaimed psychodrama “Joker”, the TV premiere of “Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey” can be seen there today. This is Margot Robbie’s first solo appearance as Harley Quinn, who is putting together her own elite unit after breaking up with Joker (Jared Leto). The film can also be obtained from Sky Q in Ultra HD quality.
In addition, older comic book adaptations are also finding their way into the Sky Cinema DC Helden program. For example, fans can watch Christopher Nolan’s famous “The Dark Knight” trilogy again. The second part of the series, in which Batman (Christian Bale) has to deal with the Joker (Heath Ledger), is considered a modern classic and a milestone in comic adaptations.
Other titles announced include “Aquaman”, “Shazam!”, “Man of Steel” and “Batman” and “Batman’s Return” by Tim Burton with Michael Keaton as the title hero. Aside from your own pop-up channel, the films can also be viewed with the monthly cancelable Sky Ticket.
