Sky Series Guide: "Me and the Others" – Trip through the minefields "Identity" and "Ego"

We present current series highlights at Sky – in addition to well-known long-running hits, we also dare to look at upcoming new releases. “Me and the others” is announced as a funny and tragic discourse series.

The showrunner for the new Sky product will be director and series developer David Schalko, and actor Tom Schilling will take on the leading role.

The title says it all. In six episodes the story of a character (Tom Schilling, “The Woman in Gold”) is told who struggles with herself and the world and is allowed to shuffle the cards anew in each episode. But: what happens if the others suddenly behave as we would like them to? What happens to the “I” when the relationship to its environment changes constantly as a result, new constellations with “the others” arise over and over again, which inevitably escalate?

“Me and the others” is a discourse series, funny and tragic – maybe even a genre that doesn’t exist yet. A new narrative in the jungle of series diversity. A surreal trip through the minefields of “identity” and “ego”.

There has not yet been a specific start date. The exclusive first broadcast of the series is planned for the end of 2020 in Sky’s programming, both linearly and on demand.
