Start date for new Sky original "The Third Day" with Jude Law is set

Mystery meets psychodrama: Jude Law and Naomie Harris play the main roles in the series “The Third Day”, which will initially start in a few weeks in the original version at Sky.

In September, the drama series “The Third Day” starts on Sky – initially in English. The location of the series, which was created in collaboration with HBO, Plan B, Punchdrunk and Sky Studios: A mysterious British island that takes viewers into a mysterious world in which everything is not what it seems.

The plot of the series: Two independent, yet connected stories called “Summer” and “Winter”. In “Summer”, written by Dennis Kelly and directed by Marc Munden, Sam (Jude Law) drives to a mysterious island off the British coast. Isolated from the mainland, he is unable to leave this idyllic world. The residents use rituals to force him to deal with the experiences of loss and trauma that were hidden in his past. Meanwhile, the boundaries between fantasy and reality are blurring.

In “Winter”, however, written by Kit de Waal, Dean O’Loughlin and Dennis Kelly and directed by Philippa Lowthorpe, Naomie Harris plays the main role. The wayward outsider Helen (Naomie Harris) has also come to the mysterious island in search of answers. When she arrives, she triggers a bitter struggle for her fate.

In addition to Jude Law and Naomie Harris, Katherine Waterston (“Fantastic Beasts”), Paddy Considine (“The Outsider”) and Emily Watson (“Chernobyl”) can also be seen.

From September 15, “The Third Day” with an episode of approx. 60 minutes per week in the original version will be available on Sky Ticket and via Sky Q on demand. Probably from November you can watch the six-part series either in the original or in German on Sky Atlantic HD.
