PC games may not be for everyone. Some people want a simplified and streamlined gaming experience and prefer the plug-in-and-play setup of a game console or just enjoy games on their phones or tablets. Not we, we love to tinker with every aspect of our machines and tailor the hardware and software to our needs and preferences. However, it seems that we as Hollywood superhero and star in Netflix’s The Witcher series are not alone. Henry Cavill has just built a new gaming PC and documented the process for our training and entertainment on video
In a video published on his Instagram account, Cavill shows us the process of assembling his new machine, which will be set to music by the only Barry White. He took a few hurdles on the way, but for the most part he did a great job.
He’s blurred some of the logos and the like, maybe either because he doesn’t want to advertise those brands if he’s just doing it for fun, or because he doesn’t want anyone to judge him based on his choice of parts. With a little forensic analysis, we were able to guess the specification of the build he put together. As far as we can tell, the parts he used in his build are as follows:
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X CPU
Asus GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11 GB ROG Strix Gaming OC GPU
G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) RAM
Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero motherboard
2x Samsung 970 Pro 1 TB SSD
Seasonal FOCUS Plus Gold 750W power supply
NZXT KRAKEN Z73 73.11 CFM liquid cooler
ASUS ROG Strix XG279Q 27-inch HDR gaming monitor
Fractal design Define 7 cases
It’s a solid selection of parts that are certainly more than capable enough to handle games like The Witcher 3. If you want to match this build, you can play The Witcher like The Witcher plays The Witcher, and if you want all-in-one you should definitely consider installing this Witcher 3 mod to complete the experience.
Fair play for Henry Cavill, he obviously has a certain passion for it and it is a great way to spend your time while most television and film projects are still ongoing. The films he played Superman in were all kind of rubbish. Kal-El’s portrayal in films like Man of Steel and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice was extremely boring and grumpy. But I don’t think we can blame him for that, he’s a charismatic and charming actor in everything I’ve seen him in, so I feel it’s more about the writing and direction that these films are in Have let down. Certainly, he was well received by Rivia as Geralt, and this showcase of his love of PC gaming is likely to only help attract this audience.
I wonder who will be the next celebrity to join the PC building and gaming community. I’d like to hear Gilbert tell Gottfried a video overclocking his system. Maybe Cate Blanchett will go to the Streaming League and I would definitely be there on the first day for benchmarking with Beyoncé. Which celebrities would you like to see building a PC?
Let us know in the comments below if you will build a system similar to Cavill’s or what you think of its new PC build.
