The 5G is reinforced with the Honor X10 Max and Honor 30 Lite

After having recently surprised us with the arrival on the Spanish market of the new Honor 9A and Honor True Wireless headphones, it seems that the Chinese company still had some surprises for this summer, with the presentation of two new mid-range smartphones designed and adapted to new 5G data networks, the Honor 10X Max 5G and Honor 30 Lite 5G.

Specifications Honor X10 Max 5G

  • Operating system: Android 10 with EMUI 10.1
  • screen: 7.09-inch LCD and FHD + resolution (2,280 x 1,080 pixels)
  • Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 800
  • Memory: 6 or 8 GB of RAM
  • Storage: 64 or 128 GB of space expandable via NM card
  • Frontal camera: Simple setup with an 8 MP sensor
  • Rear camera: Triple setup with a 48 MP main sensor, 8 MP wide angle, and 2 MP macro lens
  • Connectivity: 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, USB-C
  • Battery: 5,000 mAh
  • Others: Fingerprint reader on the side

Far from the latest trends set by the iPhone SE, the new Honor X10 Max even comes into in the phablet field, with a huge 7-inch screen marked by really small bezels and only interrupted by the presence of a small notch in the form of a drop of water for the front camera.

A clean aesthetic that will also be repeated on the rear panel, which moving the fingerprint reader to the side of the phone, leaves us with a completely clean design in which the camera configuration takes center stage, following the current rectangular space standard.

Although this increase in size will not be limited only to the screen. And is that the Honor X10 Max will also have an imposing 5,000 mAh battery, reduced to a total space of just 8.3 millimeters thick for the phone, thus leaving a widely useful and manageable terminal.

However, Honor has also wanted to present a second terminal somewhat smaller in size, features and price, with the simultaneous arrival of the Honor 30 Lite. However, despite the fact that its name augurs us with reduced specifications compared to its original model, this time we found a remarkably remarkable phone.

Specifications Honor 30 Lite 5G

  • Operating system: Android 10 with EMUI 10.1
  • screen: 6.5-inch LCD with FHD + resolution (2,280 x 1,080 pixels) and 90Hz refresh rate
  • Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 800
  • Memory: 6 or 8 GB of RAM
  • Storage: 64 or 128 GB of space expandable via NM card
  • Frontal camera: Simple setup with a 16 MP sensor
  • Rear camera: Triple setup with a 48 MP main sensor, 8 MP wide angle, and 2 MP macro lens
  • Connectivity: 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB-C
  • Battery: 4,000 mAh with 22.5 W fast charge
  • Others: Fingerprint reader on the side

Starting with its design, it stands out that the Honor 30 Lite shares more similarities with the Honor X10 Max than with its own family, replacing the perforated front camera with the presence of a notch in the form of a drop of water.

Although the most surprising thing is undoubtedly the fact that a screen with 90 Hz refresh rates, a quality limited only to the Honor 30 Pro +, or the option to equip up to 8 GB of RAM, not available in the original model.

However, we can find some reductions, such as changing the processor to MediaTek Dimensity 800, the limitation of the power of fast charging, the reduction of megapixels of its front camera, or the inclusion of a triple camera system for its main cameras. Although again the latter will have a new improvement, since despite losing the telephoto sensor, it will equip a larger main lens, increased to 48 megapixels.

Finally, it should be mentioned that neither of the two phones will have the presence of the Google Play Store application, replaced by the store application Huawei AppGallery.

Price and availability

At the moment the Honor X10 Max 5G are only available in China, with prices ranging from 1,899 yuan of its basic version (approximately 245 euros) up to 2,499 yuan of its superior version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (approximately 315 euros). A limited availability that will be shared by the Honor 30 Lite, which will be available this week in the Asian country from 1,699 yuan (approximately 215 euros).

Although without a specific date, it is expected that both phones will increase their international availability to the European and American markets in the coming months.
