The cheapest Galaxy Note 20: these would be its characteristics

The launch of the Galaxy Note 20 seems imminent after Samsung confirmed its next Galaxy Unpacked on August 5, an event in which, according to the company itself, they would present up to 5 new devices.

Given the date, it is inevitable to think that the new Galaxy Note would take part in the leading role, and like last year, at least two models would arrive. We have already met the specifications of the first one in great detail, and now it is the turn of what would be the cheapest.

The cheapest Galaxy Note 20: a great mobile phone that loses less than we thought

The Galaxy Note 20 would be very similar to the Galaxy Note 20+.

The Galaxy Note 20 that we met yesterday represents the best of the best in Samsung’s catalog, while today’s model would have a series of cuts to be more economical, but still a high-end device.

The most obvious is the screen, which would become a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED, with FullHD + resolution and a refresh rate of 60 hertz. By diagonal we could think that it is identical in size to last year’s Galaxy Note 10+, but being with an aspect ratio of 20: 9, we would be talking about a smaller panel, similar in size to the Galaxy S20 +.

The new Galaxy Note 20 would be very similar in size to the Galaxy S20 +.

In fact, seeing the measurements and characteristics of the Galaxy Note 20, it is inevitable to compare it with the Galaxy S20 +, since in size they are very similar.

  • Note 20 measurements: 161.6 x 75.2 x 8.3 mm.
  • Galaxy S20 + measurements: 162 x 74 x 7.8 mm.

If it is appreciated that the Galaxy Note 20 would have a greater width and thickness, this is due to two factors. The first would be that the screen of this new mobile would be flat, something that I have personally been wanting since I was able to test the Galaxy Note 8. On the other hand, the extra thickness would be a consequence of the internal space that the SPen occupies. And between maintaining a reasonable battery or a reduced thickness, the answer that Samsung would have taken seems the most reasonable.

This mobile would not give up high-end performance or new features such as Samsung DeX wireless, but its SPen would not have the ultra-low latency mode of its older brother, something that also has to do with the screen.

Like another cutout, it would not use glass in the back either, but a kind of plastic, which would reduce its premium feeling, but in return would give it better durability. We will have to wait what decision Samsung makes here and what would be the final finish of the device.
