"The Lion's Den" gets a new slot and star investor


At the end of August, fans of “The Lion’s Den” can look forward to new episodes. Season 8 of the founders’ show will also feature a new investor who should be known to racing fans in particular.

In addition to Carsten Maschmeyer, Ralf Dümmel, Judith Williams, Nils Glagau, Georg Kofler and Dagmar Wöhrl, Nico Rosberg will expand the group of investors from the new season. The 35-year-old former racing driver has been active as an investor and sustainability entrepreneur since the end of his motorsport career.

As the broadcaster Vox announced, fans in the new season should be able to look forward to “fascinating sport start-ups with ideas from the fields of tennis, football and fitness as well as a special training program for mothers”. The show should also be greener. This is how founders present their ideas around electric mobility, packaging initiatives and waste prevention. Culinary and animal start-ups should also be provided, as the broadcaster announced. In addition, Vox announces a small sensation in advance: For the first time in the history of the show, a company is to receive five individual offers from five different lions.

The format is also moderated in the new episodes by Amiaz Habtu. Season 8 of “The Lion’s Den” will start on August 31st. From then on, the new episodes run every Monday at 8:15 p.m. The show is then available for streaming on TVNow. In addition, VOXup will show the current episode as a repeat on Fridays at 8:15 p.m. and on Sundays at 10:30 a.m.
