After the Donald Trump veto to Huawei that prohibits the company from using Google services, the Chinese giant is in an urgent situation in which it must give everything and more to survive in a market in which, despite everything, remains a leader.
In the search for its own ecosystem we have seen how Huawei Mobile Services continue to progress, along with the AppGallery store. Huawei is aware that video games are a fundamental part of the user experience, and they have just introduced their own gaming center.
Huawei GameCenter, the Huawei Play Games
Huawei has created a new game store which can be downloaded within its App Gallery app store. Its name is GameCenter (any similarity in the name with Apple’s Game Center is surely a coincidence), and it aims to be the common point for players to access their games.
After installing it, we find a specialized game store where we will find some of the most popular mobile titles (although much less than Google Play or third-party stores such as UpToDown). This downside in content is to be expected because today is its initial release.
At its launch, Huawei highlights the following games as some of the most popular titles on its platform: Idle Heroes, The Origin of Chaos, Brain Out, AFK Arena, Rise of Kingdoms: Lost Crusade, Lords Mobile, Asphalt 9: Legends – Epic Car Action Racing Game, Saint Seiya Awakening: Knights of Zodiac or Perfect world.
As an additional bonus for gamers, the gaming platform has its section for gifts, offers and promotions and the ability to register us for games that have not yet been published. Compared to Google Play Games or Game Center, we still miss more social options.
If you are interested in trying GameCenter you can download it in AppGallery, a store pre-installed on Huawei mobiles but that you can install on any Android device.
